Get a License

Please note that following the receipt of an initial application it can take 6 to 8 weeks to complete the process.

To obtain a badge from most councils you will need:

• The support of an operator (Nottingham Cars)
• A DVLA mandate form
• Held driving license for at least 12 months and age over 18
• A medical certificate
• Three recent passport size photographs

• Good knowledge of Nottingham by passing a driving test and topography test
• An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS)
• Two people you have known for a minimum of 5 years which of whom must not include relatives or someone in the taxi industry
